Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

CinnoVate provides an online CV builder with AI-assisted writing suggestions, CV templates, PDF export and cloud storage (the "Service"). These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and CinnoVate and apply every time you use the Service.

By creating an account or using the Service you confirm you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service. Our postal address is available on request by emailing privacy@cinnovate.io.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, for keeping your password confidential, and for everything that happens under your account.

Tell us promptly at privacy@cinnovate.io if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

3. Your content

You keep all rights in the CV content you create, upload or import. We do not claim ownership of it.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process, display and transmit your content solely so we can operate the Service for you — for example rendering your CV, generating a PDF, and sending text to our AI provider to produce suggestions you have asked for. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to short technical backup retention described in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm your content is lawful, is yours to use, and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

4. AI-generated suggestions

The Service uses third-party AI models to suggest wording, summaries and keyword improvements. Suggestions are drafts, generated automatically, and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation.

You are responsible for checking everything in your CV before you use it. We give no guarantee that AI suggestions are accurate, that your CV will pass any applicant tracking system, or that using the Service will lead to interviews, job offers or any other outcome.

5. Plans, prices and payment

The Service has a free tier and paid Premium and Pro subscriptions. Current prices are Premium $14.99 per month or $59 per year, and Pro $24.99 per month or $99 per year, in US dollars. Prices exclude any tax that may be added at checkout.

Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment processor and merchant of record. We do not receive or store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled, and the card on file is charged at the start of each period.

We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice before the change takes effect so you can cancel if you prefer.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate part-used periods.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of subscribing. Because the Service is supplied digitally and starts immediately, you accept that performance begins straight away; if you withdraw within the 14 days we will refund the amount paid less a proportionate deduction for the period you had access.

7. Storage limits

Each plan includes a limit on the number of exported PDFs we keep for you: 1 on the free plan, 20 on Premium and 100 on Pro. Stored PDFs are snapshots of the last version you exported, not live copies of your CV, so a CV edited after export is shown as out of date until you export it again.

If you reach your limit, delete a stored file or upgrade before exporting another.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently or to impersonate another person
• upload malware or attempt to break, probe or overload our systems or security
• scrape, resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service or its templates
• use automated means to generate excessive AI requests or circumvent plan limits
• submit other people's personal data without a lawful basis for doing so

9. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available and working well, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we will give notice of significant changes where reasonably possible.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, templates, design and branding, belongs to CinnoVate or its licensors. You may use it only as these terms allow.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost job offers, or loss or corruption of data caused by matters outside our reasonable control, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period (or £50 if you are on the free plan).

If you are a consumer, you keep all rights given to you by consumer law.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or where required by law, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.

On closure we delete your content in line with the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When changes are material we will publish the new version here with a new date and, where the change affects your rights, ask you to accept it before continuing to use the Service.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of your local mandatory laws and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
