ATS CV checker

An applicant tracking system reads your CV before a person does. CinnoVate scores yours while you write it, then checks it against the exact job ad you're applying to and lists what to fix.

What an ATS is, in one paragraph

It's the software employers use to receive and filter applications. It converts your file into text, tries to identify your contact details, jobs, dates and skills, and lets a recruiter search or rank candidates by them. Nothing about it is magic — but a CV it can't read reliably is a CV that can't be found in that search.

What the score checks

Parsing

Contact details, section headings and employment dates in a form that survives conversion to plain text.

Job-ad keywords

Paste the posting and you get two lists: the terms your CV already uses, and the ones it doesn't. You decide which of the gaps you can honestly close.

Evidence in bullets

Bullet points with no number, scope or outcome are flagged line by line — the most common weakness in an otherwise good CV.

Structure

Expected sections present, in a sensible order, with your most relevant experience in the top third of page one.

Length and density

Strict A4 pages, so you see the real page count. Overflowing pages can be reflowed in one click rather than by shrinking the font.

File output

Our one-click PDF is image-based. For a fully text-based file today, use Print → Save as PDF in the builder; a native text-layer export is on the roadmap.

Fixing a low score

1

Use the ad's own words

If the posting says "stakeholder management" and your CV says "working with the business", use their phrase where it's true of your work.

2

Add one number per bullet

Team size, budget, volume, time saved, percentage moved. A number turns a duty into evidence.

3

Simplify anything decorative

Replace graphics, icon skill ratings and text boxes with plain headings and text. All 23 templates already do this.
